Fire Drill

Last night was not our run-of-the-mill Monday night. It started normal enough. Dinner (turkey and potatoes for the grown-ups, carrots and bottle for the little), some jumping in the bouncy thing, a little tv, a diaper change, some deep conversation (Tony: "Bababababa. DadadaDADADA. Ggghhhaaaa." Mom/Dad: "I agree with your plan to handle the situation in Syria."). Once we solve the world's problems, then it's quiet time before bed. Our quiet time turned not-so-quiet in a hurry. All of a sudden all the fire alarms went off. Not just in our unit, but in the entire building! Anthony grabbed Tony and covered his ears. I investigated. All the tenants were evacuating. We quickly threw a pj on Tony, grabbed the diaper bag, and the stroller, and out the door we went! Six fire trucks and 10 minutes later, everyone was fine. I didn't get the entire story, but it was some sort of false alarm. Tony didn't make a peep the entire time, and he got to see a ton of lights, which he loves. After all was said and done, we got to take this picture. Just another Monday night.
