I bought a step stool for Tony. He likes to see what I'm doing and it makes washing hands so much easier. (He's developed toddler ocd from all the hand washing at daycare.) I thought the step Stoll would provide independence and reduce the whining. (So much whining right now.) In reality, I have now given Tony access to all shelves, drawers, and stuff pushed to the middle of the table that he was unable to access or see before now. The world has opened to unlimited possibilities again.
Unfortunately, the stool is very light and portable. And now Tony's constant companion. I hear him clunking around with it in his bedroom, my bedroom, the bathroom, everywhere. The problem comes in when he disappears and I hear a little voice say, "uh oh," followed by clunky running in my direction. So far nothing has broken, including Tony. But, we are only at the beginning of our step stool journey.
