Frustration All Around

Everything is not always drumsticks and dancing with Tony, especially as of late. He's been a real stinker (to put it nicely). We can't figure out what's going on with him. It seems to be a combination of teething, frustration, hypersensitivity, and growing pains. It sucks, to put it mildly. Part of this behavior is that he can't settle himself down. His teachers couldn't get him to calm down the other day and ended up giving him a pacifier. That did the trick. Last night we had the same situation, so I decided to try the pacifier, too. I resisted and resisted. I did NOT want to get him hooked on that. He wasn't didn't use it in the past and I certainly don't want him to now. But, I relented. It calmed him down, but not enough to sleep. Tonight, after multiple meltdowns, he calmed down and went to sleep on his own. Who knows. Tomorrow is a new day.
