Happy Halloween!

Yesterday was Tony's very first Halloween. To my surprise, he did GREAT! He was confused by all the oldly-dressed people, but no crying, no screaming, no panic. He took it all in stride, including his costume! Little Tony went as a little lion. It was a hit! He didn't even mind wearing the hood. Wearing the paws was a different story. He couldn't access the all-important two fingers. That was maybe the only panicky moment we had all day. Tony's daycare threw a Halloween party of parents and kids. They had stations set up for the kids to make Halloween crafts, have "spooky" snacks, and play with "scary" toys like rubber snakes in water. The babies had a rice "sandbox" where they could play with miniature pumpkins. I like this daycare more and more every day. It was so cute to see all the kids in their costume, especially the big kids dressed up having a dance party to "Monster Mash" and "Werewolves of London." It was a lot for the babies to take in. Tony got overstimulated by all the noise and fell asleep while I was holding him. What a party animal!

I don't know what to think about having paws.

"Scary" snack time. Pumpkin cookie.

Cameron the Scarecrow and Ainsley the Cabbage Patch Kid (she had a wig, but that didn't last long).
Adeline the Owl
Lucas the bumble bee and Mac the Dragon (he got too hot so he's a half-dragon here).

Can't stay here. Things to see.
And we are on the move again.
Lions don't stay in one place very long.
We went to the Grandparents Dunsworth's house to do a little trick-or-treating that night. And by little, I mean 2 houses: the Martin's and the Lemire's. Tony and I raced home to meet the trick-or-treaters in our neighborhood. We didn't have many kids come to the door, but Tony was a great assistant. He helped hand out candy like a champ. By 8pm it was a wrap. Halloween #1 in the books.
