Grandma Mary picked Tony up from daycare a little bit early so he could visit a couple neighborhoods to trick-or-treat. I picked Tony up a little later and we went to our neighborhood. Tony ate quite a bit of sugar by that time. The result - Tony didn't stop at the door after ringing the bell. He walked right into the homes and looked around. It was a good thing we knew them! After fishing him out of the houses, we passed out candy to trick-or-treaters. Tony thought this was great fun! We never have that many visitors his size. We cut it short to go pick up Daddy from the airport. This year was so much more fun than last year. I can't wait for next year now!

Halloween as a Toddler
Halloween has taken on a new importance now that Tony is old enough to sort of understand the concept. This year was the year of R2D2. Mainly chosen because it was Easy (with a capital e). Not to mention cute. Tony had no clue what he was, but learned how to say "D2." Tony even had a Star Wars bucket acquired through a McDonald's Happy Meal purchase a few days prior. What luck! So we got treats for the 12 toddlers and 12 pre-schoolers and away to the daycare Halloween party we went. Tony was thrilled to see that his friend Luke was dressed a "Ookie Onster." He laughed and pointed and yelled for everyone to look at him. Tony had a fantastic time at the Halloween party, even though he didn't participate in any of the activities except the water table. I sat him down to decorate a cookie, but the water table called and he wasn't interested in a cookie. That water table must be super fun!
