Observation Day

Going back a few weeks, Anthony and I observed Tony at daycare for a half day. We are *required* to do so once Tony became adjusted to the room. Anthony and I were both ready to leave after 30 minutes, but it was fun to see what the tike does for a morning. He is BUSY. Lots of singing, lots of playing, lots of getting into things, lots of hugging friends, lots of patience on the part of his teachers. We learned that Tony likes to clean up, or "cleeemmup." He asks to do it before it's time. There are little songs they sing to signal when to start picking up. I wish I remembered any of them to trigger a help at home.

Anthony and I made new friends, too. The kiddos were very interested in who we were. One little guy decided Anthony was the best thing since sliced bread, so Anthony had a constant companion. I tied capes for everyone and answered questions about my hair. The biggest thing I learned from the visit was that we do not pay them enough!
